Money Saving Cleaning - 5 Tips
Money Saving Cleaning - 5 Tips1.    Have a look at the brands that you use in your cleaning process. You will likely have quite a few different products, each designed for different things. You will find that the marketing of these brands for these different things subconsciously makes it seem as if you could not possibly use them for different purposes, when in fact, most things are just a degreasing agent and an anti bacterial. Whilst the consistency, color and smell may well be different, the cleaning ability is often the same. With this in mind, it is well worth having a look at using lesser known brands, as well as thinking about how you could perhaps use different products in different easy. For instance, washing up liquid can be used on most hard flooring, as well as in the bathroom, with great effects. So, if you were to buy a whole sale bottle of decent washing up liquid that lasted you months, then you would likely save on having bought other big name brands. Try it, and see what you get! 2.    Have a think about the disposable products that you use when you are cleaning. You will find that of course these products are terrible both for your wallet and the environment. The amount that you spend on a set of three disposable sponges (around one pound) is half the amount that you would spend on a cloth that would last you months longer than the sponges would. The maths does not add up, and unfortunately, the truth seems to be that if you are using disposable sponges it is because you are too lazy to bother washing a non disposable cloth! 3.    Finding cleaning alternatives can be a great way to save money. Many people do s every day, and they will benefit from the process, as it teaches them new and cheaper ways in which to get the cleaning done without any risk of getting the place any less clean. You will find that there are thousands of different ways in which you can ensure that you get your place cleaned nicely, including the uses of traditional fabric soaps, lemon, vinegar, olive oil, baking soda, and many other things that will work beautifully, without the price tag of normal cleaning products. These things will often have less of an environmental impact as well. 4.    Steam cleaning is an alternative cleaning method that will be cheaper in that it uses no detergent. The steam kills the bacteria and loosens the dirt, so that you can simply wipe it all away without any difficulty. If you want to know more about steam cleaning however, it is worth looking up, as the cost of the machine can outweigh the benefits if you are not using it regularly enough. 5.    The fact of the matter is that getting a cleaner is the opposite of saving money. However, many people are just too busy with family and work to think about getting the housework done without one! If this is you, then you should think carefully about getting the family to be the ones helping you out! You may already have a chores system in place, but as the children get older, there is more that they can do to help you. Some children react fine to this, but others will not. The best thing is to ease them into it from an early age, so that the natural order of helping and receiving help is in place before they reach an age where it seems unjust to be expected to help!
